We would like to say a huuuuuge thank you to our favourite sparring partner Sam De Brito for featuring us in his column today. We think it must be proof that if anything can bring people together it’s footy, yes? And to be honest anyone that thinks we are awesome gets our love in return. We are kinda easy like that.
So we demand you go buy the Sydney Morning Herald, flip to the back page of the S Section and check out our newspaper debut. GO GO GO!
For those of you who are Errol virgins, check out some of our best footy posts. And by ‘best’ I mean we cracked ourselves up.
The Good Old Days – Bring back Tina!
Canberra Raiders – the Librarians of the NRL
Footy Virgin Lozzy discovers the joys of Manly
Dragons vs The Amazing Bearded Warriors
For more of our greatness, check out Classic Errol. Look to the left kiddies…yessss that’s it.
EDIT – our newspaper debut!

I saw the article while I was flicking through the paper at my Grandparent’s place. I squealed for you guys. And everyone looked at me weird.
Comment by Caitlin September 7, 2008 @ 12:51 pmI read it this arvo and I like that we are apparently “irreverent and sometimes obscene”.
got it in one de brito.
Comment by sassy September 7, 2008 @ 5:10 pmFirst radio, now the press, just TV to go and you’ve got the full set! Remember us when you’re rich, famous and in the executive VIP suites at the footy. Congrats!
Comment by Ray September 7, 2008 @ 5:36 pmyay thankyou ray and caitlin! wheee! next step – WORLD DOMINATION.
Comment by Kiki September 7, 2008 @ 7:05 pmWow, Sam de Brito’s gone all niiice in his advancing age! (I would have said soft, but the man himself might be reading….)
I love the bit where he says “2GB or Channel Nine could do a lot worse than getting a weekly rap from these bright young women”. Not a truer word spoken!
They need to badly revamp the Footy Show – and Continuous Call team, and I can think of no better way than to ditch the boys club mentality of both and open it up to talented regular people like yourselves.
Stuff the “appealing to women” category or label though – having a more diverse broadcasting range can only help the code appeal to everyone, regardless of gender.
Congrats, and go for it ladies!
Comment by bart September 7, 2008 @ 7:07 pmYes. Many props for you girls. Although, I would wager that you will never see them in VIP executive suites. Not due to lack of success, but because without the pissed bogans scoffing pies and yelling crude obscenities at the players, it’s just not football is it?
Comment by Adikkal September 8, 2008 @ 8:13 pmalso i think they would take one look at our outfits and bar us from entering.
Comment by Kiki September 8, 2008 @ 8:27 pmFirst comment in awhile but major congratulations on all the recent success, and much of it to come!!

I tried to buy the paper down here in melb yesterday ( we get them the day after) but they only had one copy that they had already sold… I’m so proud and happy for you guys even though you hate my team hahaha
